Awaken Houston

• From February 18 through Easter Sunday, April 5, churches and believers across Houston are partnering together to collectively prayer walk 100,000 miles, covering neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and city streets in focused intercession. You can sign up to participate, use the Holy Here app to track your prayer walks, and follow a daily prayer guide that helps us seek Jesus step by step “day by day, street by street.” Learn more and get started at awakenhouston.org.

Diaper Drive

• For our upcoming Grace On Mission Sunday, we have a special opportunity to serve local moms and babies in partnership with the Pregnancy Help Center. We are hosting a church-wide diaper drive, and we would love for you to be involved.The diaper drive will run through February and March. You can participate by bringing packages of diapers to the church lobby on Sundays. Our goal is to collect at least 25 packages of every size from newborn (0) through size 5.

• Still Hope Movie Premiere | hosted by Refuge for Women | February 6, 2026
  • Refuge for Women is hosting a screening at the AMC Theater at Brazos Mall for the new movie "Still Hope." The movie is about Hope, a teenager from a tight-knit community, who finds herself in danger when the person she believes to be a new friend proves unsafe. Taken from all she knows, Hope is forced into sex trafficking and stripped of her identity. After finding freedom from her captors, Hope discovers that survival is only the first step. Inspired by true stories, Hope’s journey is a powerful illustration of the courage it takes to walk the complex path of recovery.

• Texas Port Ministry Fundraising Banquet | February 26, 2026
  • TPM is hosting their annual fundraising banquet at the Dow Academic Center. The event will be catered by On the River. 
  • The Grace Missions Team  has purchased a table and would love for you to join us in hearing about the great work done by our Texas Port Ministry. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis. Reserve your seat here!
• NEW Book Club | Meeting on Zoom beginning February
  • Pastor Jarrod will be hosting a new online book club reading through and discussing the book, Concise Theology by J.I. Packer.
  • Everyone's a theologian. Theology is simply what one thinks of God. Even an atheist has a theology. It is of utmost importance that Christians have a theology that aligns with the truth of Scipture. This book will help you in that endeavor. It is a great guide for those who are new to faith and for those who are further along in their Christian walk. 
  • With an average chapter length of two pages, this book is a great introduction to the formal study of God.

This summer, our students have the opportunity to attend GENERATE Camp by YM360, a Christ-centered, Scripture-led, worship-filled, and prayer-fueled experience designed to deepen their faith and foster lasting spiritual growth. At GENERATE, students engage in dynamic worship, Bible study, and meaningful community, all aimed at helping them encounter God and respond to His call in their lives. 

However, the cost of camp can be a barrier for some families. We believe that no student should miss out on this transformative experience due to financial constraints. That’s why we’re inviting our church family to partner with us in making camp accessible to all.

How You Can Help:

• Pray for our students as they prepare for camp, that their hearts would be open to God’s work.

• Give a financial gift to support camp scholarships, ensuring every student who wants to attend can do so.

• Encourage our students and families, letting them know their church stands with them.

Grace is Hosting The Legacy Grandparenting Summit!

We know there are many grandparents in our church and churches around our community that want to make a difference in the lives of their grandkids. They want to leave a lasting legacy of faith and see their grandchildren walking with Jesus. That's why we are excited to host The Legacy Grandparenting Summit this spring! This will be a streaming event that you can take part in with other grandparents from our church and community and hear nationally known speakers encourage you with wisdom from the Scriptures as to how to make a lasting impact for Christ on the future generations.

Sunday Worship | Seventh Sunday of Epiphany

We invite you to join us this Sunday as we gather to glorify God and worship in spirit and truth.

We will open by singing God the Uncreated One, a song that exalts the sovereignty and majesty of our King. Our Call to Worship comes from Psalm 65, reminding us of God's abundant goodness and power over creation.

In response, we will sing How Great is the Greatness of God, proclaiming His unmatched power and glory.

Our Scripture Reading will be from Luke 8:22-25, the account of Jesus calming the storm, demonstrating His divine authority over the wind and the waves.

As we bring our pain and brokenness before God, we will sing Weep with Me, a song of lament and trust in God's mercy.

Following, we will sing Christus Victor (Amen), a declaration of Christ's victory over sin and death and then pray that God would illumine our hearts and minds as we come to Revelation 11 together.

After the Word is preached, we will prepare our hearts for Communion as we sing Love of God, reflecting on the depth of His grace and love poured out for us. This song is a NEW song for Grace. Go take a listen on our Digital Hymnal. 

We will then confess our sins through a prayer based on Revelation 4. 

After taking communion together, we will confess our faith together by reciting the Nicene Creed, one of the most foundational statements of Christian belief. A Brief History of the Nicene Creed: In A.D. 325, church leaders gathered at the Council of Nicaea to affirm the true divinity of Christ against false teachings. The creed they produced has been used for centuries to affirm the core truths of the gospel that Jesus is fully God, eternally begotten of the Father, and that our salvation is rooted in the work of the Triune God.

Our closing song will be Hallelujah for the Cross, celebrating the redemption we have through Christ's sacrifice.

We encourage you to reflect on these Scriptures and songs throughout the week as we prepare to worship together on Sunday.
